Fall is my favorite season of the year. It could be that the days are still warm and the nights are a bit cooler. It’s also a great time for fresh vegetables, apple picking, and Oktoberfests. But for my wife and me, the best thing about fall is that our kids are back in school.
This past summer was a busy time at Associated Fire Protection. In my last newsletter, I mentioned the importance of technology as well as our 2019 initiatives related to customer experience. I am happy to report that over the summer we released a new mobile application for our technicians in the field. Previously, our mobile app only dealt with inspection paperwork. Most recently, we added the ability to process repair work orders in the field as well. This latest advancement allows us to receive information from the field much faster so we can respond quickly.
Instead of having to wait for the technician to submit paperwork, work order and material information is transmitted back to the office as soon as the job is completed. In turn, people in the office can review inspection reports, create return work orders and send quotes or invoices to our customers in a more timely manner.
Over the next couple of months, we are going to review more efficient ways to communicate during the quoting, scheduling and work order process to make it easier for our customers to interact with us. To jump-start this process, you will find the contact information of the key AFP employees assigned to your account in our Fall Newsletter. You can always contact customer service 24/7, but we wanted to provide all of our customers with people they can talk to directly should they have any questions.
In closing, I wish everyone a happy fall season and hope you enjoy the great weather before the cold comes.
