Scope of Work:

Plagued with false alarms and outdated system, the leadership at the Paterson YMCA knew they needed to replace their fire alarm system. AFP was contracted to perform an evaluation of the current system and provide an upgrade path. Key challenges to this particular installation were the age of the building (over 70 years old) and the fact that building could not be without protection during any part of the upgrade. After reviewing the site, AFP engineers and technicians recommended and installed a Siemens XLS voice system as a replacement. As with any retrofit, we encountered a couple of hurdles along the way, but in the end the system was installed on time and there was never a lapse in protection.
