No time to write poetically about the sea, but we do want to share two quick maritime items…
FIRST, AFP client Yank Marine got a great write-up in the New Jersey Record. Maybe it’s because Yank Marine is another New Jersey family-owned commercial business; maybe it’s because John Yank is a great guy, and a classic builder and entrepreneur, but this article got us smiling.
Then we got a call that got us on to the water ourselves. Because of our reputation with marine suppression systems and the USCG in this area, AFP was provided an opportunity to test and inspect the CO2 systems on the MV New Jersey Ferry vessel when their servicing company canceled their scheduled appointment with very little notice. Acting quickly, we were able to secure an agreement to service the MV New Jersey and keep the vessel in operation. AFP came through for the ferry operators, and with expertise and hard work our team secured approval from the USCG.
We are now looking ahead to servicing the MV Delaware and MV Cape Henlopen vessels. Check out some pictures of our great crew here.
Maritime fire safety is a serious and satisfying category in our industry, and we’re proud to be recognized as a trusted company by the US Coast Guard.
