School Fire Safety

We understand that fire safety is a priority at schools and universities. Fires can happen anywhere on campus and we have the experience to mitigate those potential risks. Our technicians are certified to install, repair, and maintain many fire protection systems and we provide one point of contact for our customers as well as asset tracking to view and download inspection reports, work orders, and invoices. Scheduling

To prepare against fire safety issues, AFP recognizes that the bulk of repairs and inspections at schools and universities must be done before students return from winter, spring, or summer break. While school is in session our teams work with facility managers to schedule around classes and campus events. We understand that we need to be flexible and things can change on a day to day basis.

False Alarms

In any building that is frequented by students there is the potential for unintentional and intentional false alarms. False alarms can be dangerous if they happen often because it can desensitize people and create a less effective warning system for fire safety. In addition, a false alarm can tie up a fire department’s time and resources and prevent their response from actual fire emergencies. It’s our goal to limit these false alarms so we work diligently with facility managers in order to minimize false alarms.

Response Times

Should a false alarm occur or any other issues requiring emergency response, AFP has teams of technicians that are always on call. Our customers always know who to call and help is on the way! With five locations in New York and New Jersey and technicians on call 24/7, AFP has the resources to respond to an emergency or service issue in a timely manner.
